December 21, 2021How to identify and prevent mycosis and mycotoxicosis in poultry
February 3, 2022The event will be held online on February 24, 2022
Asterivet S.A. has the pleasure to announce the 1st International Symposium to be organized by the Irish company on February 24, 2022, online.
The main theme of the event will treat about infections caused by avian intestinal protozoa and will show how the use of Astercox, designed by Asterivet S.A., is effective in maintaining the intestinal welfare of birds and preventing possible alterations of the digestive system.
A healthy digestive system is crucial to maintaining the productive performance of farms. The intestine is the organ where nutrients are absorbed, therefore a healthy intestine guarantees an adequate use of the diet and, thus, good productive parameters.
Given the importance of this organ, it is very important to know the challenges that can affect intestinal welfare, one of the most important being the intestinal protozoa.
Protozoa are microscopic single-celled parasites that multiply once within avian organisms, causing negative consequences. Generally, the clinical signs are discomfort, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea and, depending on the severity, can cause the death of the birds.
The most common diseases caused by protozoa are: coccidiosis, trichomoniasis and histomoniasis. Coccidiosis, caused by the protozoan coccidia, despite of having thoroughly studied its control and treatment, continues to be one of the diseases that most affects the poultry industry, causing great economic losses.
Prevention of protozoal infections with Astercox
The use of Astercox, a product developed by Asterivet with natural components, helps prevent these diseases caused by protozoa.
During the Symposium, field trials will be presented that demonstrate the efficiency of the product for the intestinal welfare of the birds.
We will post more information about the program and details in the upcoming weeks. If you are interested in participating or you want more information, you can contact us at: marketing@asterivet.com.
